You’re a miracle! I’m a miracle! All God’s children are miracles!
Wasn’t this a ditty that I heard eons ago when I was nothing but a little tyke? This, or something close. Of course, I believed this was nothing more than a ditty for years.
And then, I discovered that it was as true as sunshine.
When one of those times comes over you when you feel a little less than great, just try saying it. It is sing-songy so sing it. We all probably have a different tune for the lyrics.
So, I won’t snitch on you if our versions differ. As long as you remember the truth of the statement.
Your next question is probably, how do you know it is the truth? I know it to be true because we are all Spiritual Beings and, being so, we are the children of The Higher Power.
Also, we are all individualized expressions of God and one with all that exists. This is a large part of what being a Spiritual Being is.
Take a long look in that mirror. Do you see a figure that has a heart that is beating at a certain rhythm without you doing a thing to keep it going? When you leave the mirror, wherever in the world you are, do you see others with “unsupervised” hearts beating?
Do you see fingernails growing without any of your worldly knowledge or help? Do you maybe see a cut that has stopped bleeding, formed a scab to help protect the healing, and then a scar to toughen the area up a bit?
Do you hear stories of dogs or cats disappearing and, after the owners have moved hundreds of miles away, suddenly turning up on their doorstep?
Add your own items to the list of happenings that continue to occur.
How do you see miracles occurring?
Here’s a little trick to make things perfectly clear and in focus. Look THROUGH your eyes at the world, not WITH your eyes.
“Now, just what do you mean when you say look through the eyes, not with the eyes?”
Now, this is a great question! I am glad that you asked! When you look with your eyes, you are looking from and to the physical world. Every image that you see with your eyes is open to interpretation.
Let’s imagine two people standing on a corner at an intersection.
When they look with their eyes at a dog walking by with its human in tow, they each see it differently.
One will see a beautiful dog that he would like to get to pet and get to know better and the other will see a mangy cur that he can not wait to get away from. Same dog, different perspectives.
Now, let’s try the same set of circumstances only looking through the eyes.
When looking through the eyes, the person is seeing with their Higher Self. This person is simply an observer of what is going on. This means that The Christ in both sees the Christ in everything, not only the passersby at this intersection.
“OK, so now how do I change from looking with the eyes to looking through the eyes?”
The main thing to remember is that, when you are looking through your eyes, you are only an unbiased, independent observer, not a judge.
As an observer, you are seeing what is real, and what is real is eternal. Everything else ages and, thus, changes. If it is not real, it will rust, melt, get moldy, and eventually pass from its present existence.
Thank you, God!

Ah yes! Thank you God! I say it hundreds of times a day. And I see many glimpses of Him in the nature he created like the billions of star dots on the water when Old Sol reflects on it just right. I've been granted many miracles and so have many of my friends. I often see glimpses of heaven - easy to see many out here in the great Pacific Northwest. CS Lewis's quote from one of his many great theological dissertations, "Heaven is all around us. We just can't see it yet!', is one I think of every day. Thank you for this!
